respond, rethink, and re-engage

More is being asked of us, as leaders, than ever before. The work of now is different than when we originally signed on. Leaders are quickly and agilely responding to an unpredictable crisis and rethinking workforce strategies in real-time to create safety and virtualization. In addition, we are also being asked to connect with our employees and touch people’s lives in a whole new way. Our role to serve and support our teams has not changed, but our focus on the individuals’ needs has now become the center of attention.
In times like this, a conscious focus on company culture becomes critical. Too often, culture operates in the background and it is rarely, if ever, thought about. Yet, organizations who want to show up differently in the world or achieve different business results must consider the impact culture has on their future.
Over the past weeks as the COVID-19 pandemic has spread and we have found ourselves in various stages and phases of self-quarantine, exposure out in the world, or some combination of both, my colleagues and I have had the privilege to continue coaching leaders and clinicians in organizations across the country, one-on-one and in groups.
